THE TRANSITION MANAGER WEARS MANY HATS INCLUDING LEADERSHIP, MANAGEMENT, FUNDRAISING, COMMUNICATIONS, PLANNING, STRATEGIZING, MARKETING, PROBLEM-SOLVING, AND OFTEN, WHATEVER ELSE COMES HIS OR HER WAY. THEY MANAGE THE PEOPLE, PROPERTY, AND ASSETS TO FULFILL THE GOALS THAT THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS SET BEFORE THEM. THEY ORGANIZE, CONTROL, AND MONITOR THE DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES OF THE OPERATION ENSURING SOUND FINANCIAL PRACTICES. THEY POSSESS THE ABILITY TO HANDLE SIMULTANEOUSLY AND SUCCESSFULLY MULTIPLE COMPETING AND SHIFTING PRIORITIES AND DEADLINES.
IN ADDITION TO LEADING AND MANAGING, THE TRANSITION MANAGER WILL WORK CLOSELY WITH THE STRATEGIC BUSINESS PLAN CONSULTANT IN THE AREAS OF FUNDRAISING DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNICATIONS.
REPORTING TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, THE TRANSITION MANAGER WILL MANAGE ADMINISTRATIVE AND HUMAN RESOURCE TASKS INCLUDING MAINTAINING RECORDS, COMPLIANCE, AND OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES.
AS PART OF THE MANAGERIAL DUTIES, THE TRANSITION MANAGER NEEDS TO ENSURE THAT PROGRAMS AND SERVICES ARE EXCELLENT AND IN KEEPING WITH THE ORGANIZATION’S LONG-TERM GOALS.
THE TRANSITION MANAGER WILL MANAGE THE ORGANIZATION’S FISCAL, HUMAN AND CAPITAL RESOURCES EFFECTIVELY AND RESPONSIBLY, AND WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN ANNUAL PLAN, GOALS, BUDGET, AND PROGRAM DIRECTION WHILE WORKING COLLABORATIVELY WITH THE OPERATIONS MANAGER AND THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
